First class and business passengers on British Airways flights can now enjoy a luxury farmhouse yogurt from Devon-based dairy company Stapleton.

The award-winning family firm has landed a major deal to supply its Strawberry & Clotted Cream and Gooseberry yogurts as a breakfast treat on routes worldwide.

 

The contract means people from all over the globe will get a chance to sample Stapleton's all-natural yogurts, which are packed with 25% real fruit and absolutely nothing artificial.

25th June 2010 - Tamara Drewe smoothie causes a real stir!

West Country-based dairy company Stapleton are causing a real stir this autumn with a delicious smoothie recipe to celebrate the release of new British comedy TAMARA DREWE, in cinemas nationwide 10 September.

 

Starring Gemma Arterton (Disney's Prince of Persia; James Bond Quantum of Solace) as Tamara, Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!) and directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen), the film tells the story of a beautiful young journalist who quits the city and returns to her rural West Country roots. But Tamara upsets the apple cart when she becomes the object of affection for the local men and sets tongues wagging.

21st June 2010 - Stapleton take food fest by storm

North Devon yogurt company Stapleton tickled the tastebuds of thousands of visitors at the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival this weekend.

 

The Stapleton team handed out 6,600 delicious yogurt sample pots at the three-day celebration of all things foodie, held in the town's Montpellier Gardens on 18–20 June. The yogurt producers also spent time talking to the public about their traditional production methods.

 

Stapleton events manager Lucy Duncan said:

 

"The incredibly positive feedback we got from tasters was so encouraging. We put a lot of effort into making top quality products and it was really rewarding to hear so many glowing comments.

 

"The constant stream of visitors to our stall meant our team got to experience the great vibe of the festival to the full.

 

"The Cheltenham event was one of a string of food festivals we'll be attending this summer. We think it's a great way of spreading the word about our all-natural, fabulously fruity yogurts."

18 May 2010 - North Devon firm strikes gold with Toffee and Honeycomb Ice Cream

Stapleton's Toffee and Honeycomb Ice Cream has scooped a top prize at The Grocer Own Label Food & Drink Awards.

 

The North Devon-based yogurt and ice cream producers won the frozen sweet category at the annual event at the Wyndham Grand, London last week.

 

The expert panel judges said Stapleton's ice cream, which is sold under Sainsbury's Taste the Difference label, should be "considered superior to top brands".

 

Stapleton's Peter Duncan said:

"We're over the moon to receive this award, which represents a huge vote of confidence from the food and drink industry.

 

"We take great pride in using only the finest ingredients to make our ice cream and yogurt products and it's fantastic for us as a small family producer to be recognised with such an accolade."

This is the second time in six months that Stapleton has won a prestigious food award. In December 2009 the family firm won a top prize for Sainsbury's Taste the Difference luxury Rum and Raisin Ice Cream at the Quality Food Awards.

 

Toffee and Honeycomb is one of the four luxury ice cream flavours Stapleton has been producing exclusively for Sainsbury's Taste the Difference label since 2000.

 

Morrisons' The Best Low Fat range

17 May 2010 - Stapleton Wins Major Morrisons Contract

Yogurt company Stapleton is beating the recession by landing a major contract to produce Morrisons' The Best Low Fat range.

 

The Devon-based family firm is making five sumptuous flavours for the nationwide retailer, proving that low fat doesn't have to mean compromising on taste.

 

Each pot features a traditional British favourite: Marmalade, Toffee, Blackberry and Blackcurrant, Gooseberry and Strawberry & Rhubarb.

 

Shoppers can now find Stapleton's award-winning low fat yogurt in all 220 Morrisons stores in the UK under the supermarket's The Best label.

North Devon firm triumphs with Luxury Rum and Raisin Ice Cream

 

Stapleton's Luxury Rum and Raisin Ice Cream has scooped a top prize at the prestigious Quality Food Awards.

 

The North Devon-based yogurt and ice cream producers won the frozen food category of the annual gala event on December 1.

 

Stapleton's Peter Duncan said "This is a wonderful result and we feel very honoured. We have been in business for 35 years and this is a tough time for everyone at the moment. This prize will really help to boost staff morale."

 

Stapleton are no strangers to success at the Quality Food Awards, having already won a staggering seven first prizes for yogurt and ice cream this decade.

 

Rum and Raisin is one of the four mouth-watering luxury ice cream flavours Stapleton has been producing exclusively for Sainsbury's Taste the Difference label since 2000.
